Joel Shore

Joel Shore has won many awards for his writing throughout a career in high-tech journalism spanning nearly 20 years. He was the co-founder and longtime Director of the Test Center at Computer Reseller News, where he authored award-winning reviews of hundreds of products. Later, he served as Editor-In-Chief of ChannelWeb, Editor-In-Chief of ITworld.com, and host of the Internet television Webcast IDC Live. The public-relations community elected him Press Access Inc.’s “Most Astute Product Reviewer.” Joel’s on-stage performances at trade shows are legendary as are his widely read no-holds-barred opinion columns. He is the author of more than a dozen books on personal computing, remains in high demand as a public speaker, and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows.

Patrick McQuillan

With a degree in marketing and management, Patrick McQuillan reviews multimedia products, provides administrative assistance, and helps to maintain the Reference Guide network. Patrick was twice selected a national finalist for marketing plans he developed, by DECA, the national association of marketing students. At 6' 6", Patrick played college basketball and is, by a wide margin, Reference Guide’s tallest contributor.

 

 

 

Steve Antonoff

Technology expert Steve Antonoff is an Electrical Engineer by sheepskin, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a BSEE. Following graduate studies, he joined Southern Bell, working on mainframe and UNIX systems. Later, he joined the Southern Company doing application development, performance testing, and support. In 1996, Steve became a performance tester for Client/Server Labs, moving up to Chief Technologist for Performance Testing. Client/Server Labs was acquired by TESCOM Software Systems Testing in 2000. In 2004, became a Senior Consultant for Orasi Software, Inc., where he continues to serve as a performance testing specialist in high demand. Steve's technical ventures have taken him around the world. His work has been seen in Computerworld, ITWorld.com, and InternetWeek.

Lisa K. Lavery joins Reference Guide from ITworld.com, where she was Editorial Webcast Producer. Lisa's projects included several series: Live From The Ether, The Networked World, IDC Live, and Innovate. An experienced broadcaster both in front of and behind the camera, Lisa worked at New England Cable News, where she covered the Boston Bruins and Celtics, and Talk America Radio Networks, where she anchored hourly news reports aired nationwide on more than 400 stations.
